You need only an ilok account, no hardware ilok needed. And then you can move to and from your ilok account as much as TWO authorisations at the same time, so one on your laptop and one on your desktop for example. And by the way it is a nice approach as it is sonically divided in melodic distance by default but quite tweakable. I don.t regret to not missed it! Matching eq by sidechaining input is a plus. Don’t miss it’ IMO. I read the manual as well as testing it tonight, it’s great. Ability to chose how many band you want, add some between bands to further tweak, solo each band... very nice indeed...

Thx for the headup. The matching and complementing feature looks promising. Gonna check it out. Also auto-gain-compensation, nice. Hopefully the bands are automatable. Not sure if the matching/complementing works in Reason.

Pretty useful plugin. The inverse feature for the match EQ is a really nice addition as well.

This is a very good EQ and very natural sounding. Very good curves on this! It excels on busses and masters. I would have paid money for this. It was made by Dan Dillespie who did the DSP for all the Eventide hardware.

Seems to have abnormally high latency. I’ll test further.

To make a guess, it may come from all those individual filters. Maybe some FFT is performed to do so or just for the visuals.

Yeah it is. On another site they said it's high latency because of the unique filter design they chose. It's designed for mixing or mastering. Not for tracking.

I just got this. I hope this iLok business isn't gonna bloat up my sleek sunseeker of a laptop.
I also took the opportunity to have a "free VST" cull.

This is more versatile than you might initially think.

You don't have to have loads of bands. You can have 4 or 5 bands, at any frequency you like and any width/Q you like, so you can totally use it as a normal parametric EQ with as many or as few bands as you like. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious - but when I first saw it I thought "hmm. I don't like million-band graphic EQs" and dismissed it. But it's cooler than that.
