For both Reason and S1 while using a project sample buffer size of 64 the plugin buffer in the UAD control panel shows 576 samples. Different plugins will introduce different latencies obviously.
The actual UAD plugins buffer size is irrelevant in this case, some have more latency because of the algorithms used and not to improve performance. The "hard" thing to do is routing 64 samples to the FW/PCI bus every few milliseconds, thats what keeps the CPU busy.
