I have a free VST that allows me point individual eq editing. It's a bit hassle to work with, but its quite good. You also can sample a frequency curve and reuse it.

Kilohearts We usually do RE versions of all our plugins, but the very UI intense nature of this one doesn't really port well to RE. We may possibly port the DSP with a simpler UI, but no promises.
I think PH need to have a full screen option for Rack devices or some way that REs can be viewed at a higher resolution.

Guess it is not only the resolution...

I recently bought the bustools bundle from toneboosters.
The included EQ 'fix v3' is surprisingly good. Excellent in fact.
Has mid/side capability, hpf/lpf, 6 bands with dozens of different 'analog' and digital filter types per band,
and dynamics processing per band.

Only got it last week but already is my go to EQ.
Sounds like nothing I've used before...
The ssl now is only used for some broad shaping here and there...

Just saying, an EQ doesn't have to be expensive to actually be good.

This Khearts EQ though does look insanely sexy !

It will not be a FF-Q2 or FF-MP.

I will have to be thoroughly convinced otherwise. I love the KH stuff.. but parametric EQ and dynamic EQ title is owned by FabFilter in my book

FWIW, this is neither a parametric nor a dynamic type EQ - it's a 31 band graphic EQ with what looks like a 'drawable' interface. Meaning it has bands with fixed frequencies (3 per octave) at standard frequency centers for a 31 band graphic EQ.

That's putting it lightly! :puf_wink: It's like Cockos drank too many Windows 98 cocktails and threw up a GUI/UX. :puf_bigsmile:

Oh wait:
Support for Windows 98/ME/2K/XP/Vista, WINE.
That explains it. Has this been updated at all, or is it just part of their standard free set of plugins? Is it 64-bit?

I already used it in Reason and it works quite well, but its a bit fiddly in some cases and i miss that "inversion" feature. And yes, it is ugly - that does not invite me to buy Reaper ever...

I used Reaper for years and hated it. I made it pretty by using a skin, but at the end of the day - I just loathed working in it (only used it for VST hosting). So glad to be rid of it.

Well, if a fancy UI is it worth to pay a bunch of bugs instead of using a free thing with more features? Lemmy think about it...nope, i'll take the free one.
