Recording automation of Bias FX VST

Has anyone successfully recorded automation for Bias FX? I'm trying to turn on and off a guitar effect and cannot get the sequencer to create a lane.

I am using the trial version (in reason 10), and although the bias fx sound nice, I am trying to use the wah plugin and use a foot pedal for it. But assigning the pedal to the wah level using the 'Remote' button does not work at all. I think this VST plugin is not 100% working with reason
