VSTs that produce arpeggios (like Xfer Cthulhu) only output MIDI data and actually that is not supported in Reason.
Use a Player or REs like Korde (it's actually on sale) instead https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/korde-sequencer/

sound cheers, already bought the korde, yesterday, but need a longer gate length, to extenuate notes... can this be done?

just tried the dual arp players, they seem really cool... and did the trick many thanks
