Superior Drummer Midi packs

I have SD 2 and I'm in the market for one of the six-pack bundles for midi grooves. I play Rock and the obvious choice might be the Rock pack but sometimes I do ballads, psychedelic ambient stuff.
I thought about the songwriter pack, but will it rock hard enough when I need it to?
Will the rock pack have grooves that can get mellow?

I'll most likely end up with both of them eventually, just wondering which one I should get first.
