I fell in love with this one, years back. Anyone running it in r9.5?

I am. Works fine.
Albino is my 3rd fav synth behind Omnisphere and Alchemy. I looooove Albino! Papen understandably pushes Predator as a suitable replacement, but it's not the same!
I'm not sure what happened between Papen and Linplug, but now that Linplug is (almost) gone, it would be a real shame if Albino disappeared forever. In my make-believe world, Papen buys Albino and creates Albino 4.

It was still installed on my computer from about 7 years ago. It's still a special synth. Since it's so CPU efficient for me, I'm using it with distributor to utilize the million presets available online.
Like 4-8 randomly selected tweaked presets can turn any polyphonic melody into something really interesting.

Thanks for the prompt!
Dug out my old Albino 3 license and was surprised it was 64 bit! It works very well except the layer section at the bottom of the UI is truncated, so can't see the full layer list.
You folks having the same problem?
Otherwise, it sounds great!

Thanks everyone! !!
Coming from R5, VST sealed the deal for me on the purchase of R9.5. I needed to know if my old favorites will work. Not fun, I was using Ableton to sample vst's to bring into the nnxt/nn19...what a pain!

yeah exactly.
Still sounds good...
Well I thought it did, until Zebra2 which I bought last night!!
Yes so true! Been many years since I felt I could blame the tools
Albino used to be my favourite softsynth. It still sounds very nice - and different to Predator. It has quite a laid back feel, even for the bright sounds.
It's great that software synths are now progressed to the point where the conversation isn't just about whether they're good enough to compete with hardware, or that they have xyz technical features - you know they have come of age when a softsynth is described by it's character
Yes, I am happy with software synths... In fact, I've never had a hardware synth, as I dropped the guitar for the computer. My first synth was Rebirth.raymondh wrote: ↑19 Aug 2017Yes so true! Been many years since I felt I could blame the tools

Albino 3 fits my needs. Though it's a fossil, in soft synth years. Kids probably have no clue. They're too busy with the Serums and Massives.
