This is also how I found out about the number of formats that exist right now.
This is probably the most organized website you could find for those currently.

There are hundreds of freebies in there, and if you already know your fundamentals you can make use out of them fairly quickly.

This is ideal for people who use:
Vst
Vst3
RE
Audiounit
RTAS
AAX
Producer/Programmer.
Reason, FLS and Cubase NFR user.

So far it seems like that place has every official plugin that exists on it.
Reason didn't get put there till rack extensions came out btw

Also, do not be alarmed by the controls of thos eplugins as they are really really simple in comparison since they are basically just the front part of Reason modules and have similar layouts with controls being universal if you know your fundamentals with knobs and stuff.

To start you guys off, here's a suggestion https://www.kvraudio.com/product/200-max-by-kbplugs

KVR has been around for quite some time. It used to be the officially unofficial VST/VSTi Forum to go to. Now it's pretty much the official place to go to for any plugin of pretty much any format.

Learn to love it. Lots of useful stuff around there.
