Does anyone know if there is such an effect? Which automatically makes left and right (the stereo field) even?
As an example, if you have a sample that is very uneven in the stereo field and you want to level it so that you get a fairly even stereo field/mix on different songs that you have produced.
Kind of like "the width of the stereo field can not be less than, say, 70%, and it shall not be more than 70%"
VST fx that makes left and right pan levels even?
Easiest option is to just use separate gain in the insert for the left and right. Then you can turn one up or the other down. This can be done with one of the two gain REs or with a mixer device. Most I've seen in VST land is stereo gain plugins with 2 separate gain knobs.
maybe this one? http://www.alexhilton.net/A1AUDIO/index ... reocontrol it doesn't do it automatically, but it gives quite a lot of control over the stereo field.
I was going to suggest a Waves S1, but that looks way betterphaza wrote:maybe this one? http://www.alexhilton.net/A1AUDIO/index ... reocontrol it doesn't do it automatically, but it gives quite a lot of control over the stereo field.
I'll have to pick that one myself - thoughtful features on that bugger, thanks
Make it mono, then restereoise via one of the many methods?
