Opinions on Geist 2 vs Battery?
I have Battery as part of Komplete 7, but I am really tempted to pickup Geist. Has anyone used both of these or just Geist?

dunno your exact needs, if u work with vengeance packs lot then I would vote to http://www.vengeance-sound.com/plugins. ... %20Phalanx instead of it, btw Geist has free version too https://www.fxpansion.com/products/geist-lite/
Geist is pattern based with own sequencer and MIDI out(so the biggest advantage of it to able trigger other devices too) but R9.5 won't has MIDI routing possibility so it doesn't count, Geist can slice audio material, but not better than https://www.propellerheads.se/recycle and have better factory library (if u are in EDM than Phalanx has more useful : "over 3000 sounds by Manuel Schleis from Vengeance Sound" )

Hi I don't know battery but i own geist 1 and 2 and I can tell you I absolutely love it.
I used to use it with bitwig but now i use it stand alone as it's so powerfull like an mpc on steroids and the sequencer is just awesome. It's so easy to get incredible results with just a few samples loaded.
So you get a great sampler, an incredible sequencer, lots of filter, lots of effect assignable to layers, pad, engine and master and a n easy and powerfull modulation system.
The only thing i missed is a little timestretch for loop.
Now i don't need to tell you that I can't wait to use it inside reason. Redrum, kong and propulsion will take the dust now.
