My video seems to have generated some real serious debate. And as I expected, a lot of hateful messages directly to me on several social platforms. It is sad that one can not speak freely these days. I try to make the point that RE can thrive now and developers need props to up thier game with sdk..
But some users only hear the bits about vst stability etc..
I am a professional producer for tv & film and use vst every single day. they regularly crash my hosts maybe except a few top brands, my real life experience, why can't I talk bout that?
Why people only hear the bits they want to hear without putting the whole picture together is out of my control.
On a side note to Bunja, developers of RE & Refills have universally reported an uptake in sales the past 2 weeks, so that theory can go back out the window.
There is too many angry people in this community lately, people need to relax a bit. I and one or two others here are aware of things coming in the future that are non existent but we are as always 100% silent ,so maybe my views will be ReViewed by those in a year or two and understand what I say and why I say it.
Vst support is not a bad thing, it was always going to happen as i say!

You use VST's that regularly crash your host? Most of the time, a VST crashing a DAW comes down to a user USING the DAW in a way that encourages the crash. I'm honestly curious if you can name the VST's that keep crashing for you. I'd like to know so I avoid them actually. Mind saying what they are?Softphonics wrote:My video seems to have generated some real serious debate. And as I expected, a lot of hateful messages directly to me on several social platforms. If other professionals are questioning your comments, it doesn't make them angry or hateful. We all can speak freely, but when we make videos and post them on the internet, people will respond. Don't be too sensitive.

There is a difference between being "sensitive" and having an onslaught of abuse. (And support too admittedly)
