Are UAD plug-ins still worth the premium prices over cheaper alternatives?
Do you have any recommended favorites?
Any thoughts, comments welcomed.

I work with UAD from 2001 in both music and post and never had better experience in terms of sound quality. Also every time something new comes up, it surprised me how good of a result I get. Now that they are native, I don't see a reason not to invest if you want quality plugins. Didn't like the hardware combinations and prices, but I had to.
I have bunch of plugin alliance and other manufacturer stuff, but would choose UAD almost every time. Especially the ones that were programmed by uad themself. I've compared a lot of similar plugins and uad cam up first every time.
For example UAD trident eq and Softube. UAD 1176 and Slate 1176. UAD lexicon and Lexicon Lexicon.
UAD my first choice.
