SSL has been making some VSTs lately and was curious if anyone has compared their channel strip and Master Bus compressor VSTs to Reasons version of them.

The Reason one is inpired after the masterbus, but never coded or approved by SSL. The V2 plugin from SSL almost costs more the Reason itself.
A one on one test is the only way to find out if it works for you. If you haven't try the Tokyo Dawn Labs compressors (kotelnikov, molotok) would definitely recommend those , Analog Obsession's Buster SE (older version was in vst2) Also really good sounding which also has oversampling.
The new bus compressor by Softube is also getting raving reviews, but haven't checked it out myself.

In the SSL there is a channel compressor and a master bus compressor in the, so if you’re saying “bus” you’re talking about the master compressor (originally the “Quad Bus Compressor” because the E and G series had a quad output).

So just took a glance at their product description and they call it Native Bus Compressor 2 which comes from the SSL G-Series center section bus compressor
