But I wonder what "Ability to download" means in their system requirements list. Does it phone home every time it launches?

I mean, Reason does, but that's copy protection, right? So it's understandable.

I guess I was assuming "system requirement" meant "won't function without".

Automatic updates are grand and all, but they're usually not urgent for any audio plug-in.

I mean, I hope people are not using their credit card numbers as wave tables.
