Thanks for the link,

Just remember you need windows 10 or OSX 10.12.6 to run waves V11 software.

This was released in 2006, and it's still one of the nicer looking Waves plugins, in my opinion.

It says the algo contains L2, so can you make it work as an L2 only?

I figured the Leveler section was the L2, but here's what Waves had to say from this Sound on Sound article (https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/plug-folder-17):

"I asked Waves what was going on inside the plug-in, and they explained that the 'Leveler' is an automatic gain control that operates with a slow attack, and as such can be considered as an RMS compressor similar to those used in some broadcast applications. Peaks get past it, as it reacts quite slowly, so the High Level compressor operates with a faster attack and has its own auto gain make-up to reduce the impact of these peaks and to further increase the average level. The output gain is simply a scaling fader at the output and so doesn't protect you from clipping. The central orange energy meter shows the audio signal level after levelling and also has a hairline indicator to show where the Low threshold is set."

It's very good for vocals/dialogue. The closest thing to it I can think of (in terms of Waves plugins) is MV2, but this is a lot more versatile

There is a custom waves installer which can be obtained via waves support. It can run the waves v11 plugins , will give this one a go . Im still on win7 and running some v11 apps.

They seem to be selling it if you go straight to the website... How'd you find this?

Got this but something really strange just happened; none of my waves plugins seem to be installed? Has this ever happened to anyone that they were very much installed and working and suddenly neither Reason or other daws can find them? Strange enough, last night a different plugin from a different vendor asked me to enter my credentials to use the plugin, which had not happened since I bought it. What could be causing this? 🤔

Edit: figured it out, had to do with network adapter. Please delete this post 🤗

I think the original offer was from Neon Vines:

Don't forget to download the free Studio Rack if you already haven't. With that you can take Maxxvolume and do some very cool stuff, like emulating XFER's OTT, for example. Split StudioRack into 3 bands, each with an instance of MV, and you'll have yourself a pretty powerful multiband dynamics processor. StudioRack is so freaking awesome - it's like the Super Combinator we've always wanted.

Yes! It is great. I hope they add modulators as they have done in Ovox.

If you could modulate the 8 macros it would rival (and beat) Snap-Heap. Of course we can modulate/automate the macros from the outside. But already now it is crazy for the price of free. 8 Parallel processing with M/S/L/R, and 5 multiband of just about anything (per level, and there are 8 levels). You can put 512 plugins into this thingy without even wiring up once

I actually grabbed the GTR pedals just because of this. $29 for 25 pedals (you CAN load each pedal individually inside StudioRack (no need for the pedal board, but you can use the pedal board too) ). To get something "similar" from kHs it is gonna set you back about $200, and leave you with $170...

PS, if you use the GTR Stomp Board for 6 pedals you can make a monster patch with all in all 3072 pedals. Maybe use the Vibrolo for all of them, LOL...

I love Snap-Heap and was recently thinking i wish it could do multi-band split like Studiorack! That would take Snap-heap to the final level :). I think its big brother multi-pass is exactly this. But that obviously comes at a $99 price point.

To reach a "final" level they need a built in step sequencer and MSEG's (like Cableguys), and a Snap-In that holds a VST (like VCV rack). I have suggested some of that, but they said they are toooooo busy with Phase-Plant...

Waves StudioRack has Mid / Side processing and that is golden too. Been buys with stuff but I gonna try to modulate a reverb tail in side mode using stepped filters and distortion. I have no idea what it can get to but gotta try new stuff...

By they way, you can nest multiband and parallel in Waves StudioRack, so yeah, multband processing of your sides. Or a parallel with a multiband that has a parallel that has a multi... Yeah, you get it
