kiloHearts' Phaseplant modular synth - out Spring '19!

Discuss VST stuff here!

Looks like yet another modular synth (Massive-X, Bitwig 3 to name a few) is upon us, to be released in "Spring 2019".

I'm particularly excited because it integrates their SnapIn system for the FX section and that is a lot of fun, hugely flexible and powerful! :hyper:
Announcing Phase Plant - A Limitless Hybrid Synthesizer that gives you complete sound design freedom. It has advanced FM capabilities between four different signal generators. The modular workflow of Phase Plant lets you add the components you need when you need them. Let your creativity run rampant with crazy modulations! Use all the existing Kilohearts snapin effects right there in your patch! And it loads all your favorite wavetables as well.

Phase Plant is set for release during the spring of 2019.

:o

Was wondering what they were doing the last time and this seems to be the answer. Looks promising. Audiorate modulations..."snap-in-able" modules

Shadowick productions did a review on the beta version

While it’s apparent that this vst is a bit too complex to have inside of Reason as a 1:1 port

I think it would be awesome to see KHs make a Thor style Re version :)

Cool, thanks. Even if it just scratches the surface it looks promising.

It will probably be my next purchase. I really like kHs Multipass and kHs company in general.
kHs Multipass and Snap Heap are simple and useful operating platforms for kHs plugins. You can program your own multi-effects quickly and easily.
This synthesizer also seems very useful. I am waiting for this.

Don't choke on your coffee but the price has been released.

Phase Plant is scheduled for release in Spring, priced $/€199 bundled with kHs Toolbox Starter, or $/€169 on its own.

Don't choke too much - it's the usual overpricing BS. Kilohearts (like every other company) are renowned for setting unrealistically high prices and repeatedly offering 50+% off. I can pretty much guarantee that previous owners of Snap-ins and Multipass etc. will be able to pick it up for somewhere around £50 to £75 in the first few weeks. Kilohearts know full well that we won't buy it unless it's heavily reduced.

I hope so. That $169 was without any snap ins. I just hope they have success, cause I like the concept, but most people will probably struggle programming it, so it will matter so much what presets they have, if people will buy it or not.

This synth looks super interesting. The workflow looks very well laid out and the modulation possibilities is staggering. The thing is you buy the synth.. And then you will want to have all the snapins... It get's very expensive really fast, synth + toolbox is more than 450 euros! :(

That makes me think how much I already invested in Kilohearts... And tbh I made some pretty good deals, worth every penny... I am curious about the final I price for me...

Just relax and let's see what they are doing... Remember: they love us 😊❤️

Would be interesting to see how it compares to KV331 Synthmaster, it takes wavetables, and multisamples, and audio-rate modulation, etc, for $39... (if you have the $5 Player) There is some serious competition out there...

I'm seriously contemplating picking up "The Works" in anticipation of Phaseplant. I'm not entirely there yet, but we'll see...

EDIT: Arrgghh why did I trial this?! It's brilliant. Gah, gonna have to happen now.

*This*

Way too much competition for a synth that's not really setting itself apart from the others. Good luck Kilohearts.

I personally love and often use Multipass - as it's great for controlling FX across frequency spectrum.

If you do consider - wait for their sales, as The Works can often be seriously reduced.

I doubt I'll be buying this, as I'm pretty well synthed out these days. But the interface and overall design look amazing
