Win D16 REs! Allihoopa Remix Challenge!
Sounds great! Just a heads up, it is not showing that it is built upon anything. How did you go about combining and working on the pieces?Majestik Monkey wrote:https://allihoopa.com/s/npU9EGuo

The question is - Who cares
Checked with the folks at Allihoopa... As long as you have 'capsun' or 'd16' in the title or description, which it looks like you do, you are safejoeyluck wrote:Sounds great! I really could have used another day for this. I originally thought it was closing on Friday. I didn't have more than a few hours to work on this, and I had plenty of time on Friday to work on it Oh well... that's how it goes sometimes.

I started with the kit loop from PH Dubstep library ! Chopped it up a bit & changed it ever so slightly, then started dropping in the other samples
in until i found a groove . i went out of my way to use as many of the Allihoopa files but some of them didn't work in this mix !
i retuned some of the Pad files to too create a Semi tone up 11-3/4% in the final section , i did the same with the Bass line too ,
I did write a wee tiny Introduction , explaining which samples i used ! i have no idea why it has not shown ?
Very cool! I had it happen to me once before, but I couldn't pinpoint what I had done to make it happen.Majestik Monkey wrote:Thanks for the comment Joey !joeyluck wrote:Sounds great! To fix it, I built upon the pieces again, re-added them to my project, and then simply muted them in the Mixer. Maybe I had deleted the original tracks once I bounced them as REX files the first time? Or maybe muting in the Mixer vs. Sequencer makes a difference? I'll have to see what happens next time I build upon several pieces...

So, I've been up way to long into the night for this, hope it counts, the exact deadline wasn't clear.

Not so sure in the logic of spending $130 on an upgrade for a chance to win $78 of Rack Extensionschallism wrote:If you can't submit anything to the contest because you don't have Reason 8, and it bothers you to no end, I suggest you push the button and BUY the Reason 8 upgrade.
Indeed they can. It reminds me of the very dubious competition they ran for the A-List Electric Guitarist RE, in which a poster-ready, highly polished teenage pop punk band won the challenge. I have no doubt in my mind that Propellerheads' previous challenge was completely rigged. As Propellerheads are running this comp, rather than the developer, then we might assume that the winning song was put together before they even announced it !challism wrote:Props can run the contest any way they see fit. I don't see a problem with it.
A winner has been announced!
