Multi lanes editing in block mode

Hi, if this is a bit of a lame question, I apologize in advance.

It's about multi-lane editing. It works perfectly in sequencer arrange mode. Grayed-out buttons are activated when clicked. It doesn't seem to work in block mode. The gray note isn't activated when clicked. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe someone can enlighten me.

This might be a bug (oversight) in the multi-lane edit implementation. I'd open a bug report ticket for this including some screenshots and ask if this was intended behaviour or an oversight.
