Reason 13.2 / 13.2.1 Release Notes

So I have 13.1 installed and I let it run overnight to scan my entire hard drive. If I update to the latest version will It perform another lengthy scan? If that's the case I'll probably sit this one out.

The latest version scans a lot faster than 13.1, and the fixes/features are worth it IMHO.

The Browser is still unusable! Every time I start it, there's a scan of my sample folders that takes forever, and in the meantime, I can't access my sounds. I should disable this scan, it's just unbearable.

It seems "slightly" better, but I agree with you 100 percent.
Reason 13 can take 10 to 15 minutes to even open for me on my system.
It does however close properly now without the endless wait.
I even removed about a million audio files and other files > from where it scans, to a seperate drive hoping that would help. It didn't seem to help much.
I think I have collected far too much useful content through the years for it to deal with it quickly. Previous versions had no problem with this since they were not doing the same indexing thing >>> that could indeed be handy in the end, but right now it still needs work ( in my opinion ).

I just installed 13.2.1 last night. It did seem to do the indexing much quicker than 13.1 When I updated from 12 to 13.1 I opened up reason and then let it run all night and into the next morning unattended with the internet disconnected and antivirus disabled, so I don't actually know how long it took to index. But like a lot of users I still had problems with the index indicator running while working on or playing back songs which caused some issue's. It did eventually work itself out, the constant indexing. And shutting down reason in 13.1 took a long time. They seemed to have fixed the shutdown problem but now I have a problem with reason taking sometimes more than 5 minutes to open up the first project. I switched in preferences from opening up the last project to a blank project hoping that would speed things up, but it didn't help. I had that problem also while running 13.1 but it too worked itself thru that and faster loading returned. Its time for a new computer I think. So far no other problems. Fingers crossed
