In NN-XT, Is it possible to crossfade between samples using the mod wheel? I've tried the obvious one with the mod wheel modulating the volume of a sample by 100% and by -100%, but that creates a huge bump in the middle (due to NN-XT's modulation scaling being inappropriate for layer crossfading). Even if that worked, it would only work for two layers.
Using the Combinator, crossfading between two NN-XT patches is simple but I had no luck crossfading between three NN-XT patches. The only thing I could get to work was fading in multiple layers and keeping them active.
Regarding switching between NN-XTs using key switches: I only found a technique from the old Electric Bass refill but that seems to be limited to three NN-XT devices.
Am I better off using third party plugins for these kind of things?

simply put, one solution lies in utilizing Thor as a CV tool that generates a ModWheel-controlled CV which is being used to control the level of a 14:2 Mixer's channel Fader. Check your PM box for further details.
Cheers,
