R13 Template Songs

Hi

If I delete the Reason 13 default template songs from and add my own to/from

Music\Reason Studios\Template Songs\Reason 13

the default files always written back whenever I reopen R13. Is this meant to happen, is it impossible to delete these template files? Not a massive issue just gets in the way when selecting a template from the menu

Why not just make your own Template - starter - and set it in the Prefs?

I think the OP means that if you delete any of the original template files that come with Reason, the next time you fire Reason up, they are replaced with new ones. They cannot be deleted permanently, you can only add to them.

I only use the startup song as my ‘template’ for all projects, but if I’m understanding correctly you could try adding an underscore to the front of your template file names to force all of them to appear above the default templates. Not at my system so I can’t confirm this works, but it “should”…

Thanks I’ll use the _ naming system to keep them together. Strange why it’s impossible to delete the shipped templates with R13
