Why does it take so long for 13.1 to open and even longer to quit ... sometimes it won't quit at all, and must be forced quit.
Yes all indexing for the browser had completed >> if that is an issue.
Using mac os 12.7.6 I have a lot of reason files / audio files / Midi files & Rack extensions>>> and indexing took all night
And yes support ticket was made just now.

Hmmm...I just made a few patches for Ripley, nothing more. Maybe the flowers need to go to someone else?

I was playing with Ripley a bit last night so I guess that was it...
but I thought your name popped up in polytone patches as well...
It was late, and I could be mistaken lol
I liked the ones I tried with your name anyways, and played with possibilities using them as starting points.

How does one become a patches guy for RS? Are you in a special club or is there a channel to submit potential patches somewhere?Loque wrote: ↑30 Dec 2024Glad you like them. Got to check, if I made some patches for Polytone too. Can't remember lolmoneykube wrote: ↑29 Dec 2024

I am a tester and sometimes they ask for patches.
I also test a lot of RE and here and there you may find patches from me.
Btw, the patches RS have chosen for Polytone from me, were the most boring I have sent in. Tastes are always different 🫣

Nope. It's locked to the Rack/Sequencer. It cannot be dragged to a second or third display (say for instance, over your mixer).BananaSkins wrote: ↑28 Dec 2024EnochLight wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024
Huh? Do you mean multiple displays? If so, things work absolutely fine, aside from the new browser being locked to 1 display.
Yes I use 3 monitors, sometimes 4...so you cannot unlock it?

Agree 100%. Also there must be a simple switch to enable that feature in 2024?!
Edit: apparently there’s at least an extension available: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2615851
This would be a great upgrade for 2025!

for starters the code from the link above has been pulled
because there are errors in it as it appears to break when using certain themes or configurations.

Anyway, it’s not like it was actually going to happen…

I have similar specs on my Macbook Pro 2019 and yes R13.1 is slower starting up and shutting down then R13 I agree with you...moneykube wrote: ↑29 Dec 2024Why does it take so long for 13.1 to open and even longer to quit ... sometimes it won't quit at all, and must be forced quit.

I'd like this too. We had an upvote feature before, but it was buggy and we had to disable it. I use other phpBB forums that have a 'like' feature, but as mentioned, I think it can be dependent on the theme/configuration.

Why don't you try and see yourself?
As Selig (developer) pointed out if you do it his way then it's fine. I knew that this is not the problem. The problem however is that this is manual and is not automatic so the user should be aware.
If you use an automatic way of how Reason "route" and how it behaves or how it expects you to act (meaning FX goes into FX place, not how you presented it) then all is fine. But if you decide to place an instrument inside the FX folder and route it in an unusual way will not report the correct delay.
https://docs.reasonstudios.com/reason13 ... mpensation
Delay Compensation rules and limitations
Due to the free routing possibilities in Reason, delay compensation could become infinitely complicated. Therefore, we have chosen to keep it fairly simple by imposing some general rules and limitations.
*
The delay compensation aims at getting a coherent mix using the main mixer in a *standard* configuration. If you do unconventional routings, the delay compensation may not work as intended and things might sound off. See “Problematic configurations” for examples of problematic routings.
https://docs.reasonstudios.com/reason13 ... ion#510785
Long story short - use the FX folder as it was intended and be worryless. You can use unusual routing, there are no right or wrong things, especially in the Reason paradigm but then point out the pros and cons and what to do. And how to do it. Like Selig did.
