Very nice update Surprised that it includes new midi players, which is always welcome.
I might switch to R13 soon if it continues like this.

I really like the custom device tags. I've categorised by things like era, synthesis type and genre. So if I wanna make 80s synthwave or 70s yacht rock I've got all my authentic devices to hand. And I've put my common go-to's (Kontrol/Kontakt, Nexus, Analog Lab, etc.) in Favourites for quicker access.

Yeah it's really great and it is so much better than having to use favorites lists as a workaround before. Now we can tag to group devices and favorite actual favorites! It's so much faster to find things.chimp_spanner wrote: ↑16 Dec 2024I really like the custom device tags. I've categorised by things like era, synthesis type and genre. Nice release, and perfect timing, my (almost) 3 weeks x-mas holiday starts tomorrow.
Custom tags are so welcome, and the 2 new players are a very nice extra!

Hi new guy! I don't think anyone in their right mind would disagree!
And yeah - custom tags instead of the limited Favorites list is such a better approach, IMHO. Some of the tags i've come up with... lmao... just lovely.
I will say that I still HATE how the new browser is locked to one window. For people like me on multiple displays, this is stupid and I hate it and it makes me sad. RS: PLEASE FIX. But I don't want to rain on the parade - 13.1 is such a improvement!

Also as someone who's asked for MIDI preview with arrow nudging for the LONGEST time, I'm very happy with this. I do a lot of noodling around on the laptop on the couch, and dragging things around with the trackpad is just hell. Now I can zip through it with arrow keys and get ideas in place in half the time, with almost none of the RSI

Fixed a bug where keyboard focus was lost when browsing Combinator Patches (Windows)
THIS. This one right here. This bug alone (that was present in 13 since launch) almost made Reason completely unusable for me, and seeing it fixed is like a breath of fresh air. My workflow has always been to browse presets using my QWERTY keyboard, and the moment you hit a Combi - this would break. I can't tell you how happy I am to see this finally fixed!
