To kick things off, I present my first imagined bundle...
(work in progress)
The Daft Punk Bundle

ABL3
Highly regarded and often considered the best and most accurate software 303 emulation. It's one of my all-time favorites. It’s no mystery that Daft Punk used the 303 plenty, so there’s no question this makes it on the list.
RX1200
Daft Punk was known to use several samplers, the SP1200 being one of them, and the RX1200 is a faithful emulation. There’s even a Daft Punk inspired kit included with the RX1200. The well-designed kits alone are worth the price.
Phaser-DDL
A faithful emulation of the phaser on the Ensoniq DP/4 used by Daft Punk. There’s lots of phaser options out there, but this is the one!
BV-X
You gotta have a vocoder and BV-X is one of the best and most versatile. Perhaps not a direct emulation of one of the vocoders used by Daft Punk, but it covers various sounds from retro to more modern and can even achieve a talkbox-sounding effect. I’ve seen mention that Daft Punk had used the Roland SVC-350, Sennheiser VSM 201, and even a vocoder preset on the Ensoniq DP/4.
ReDominator
Daft Punk was known to use numerous synths, including the Juno-106, and I’ve placed ReDominator on the list as a close substitute being an Alpha Juno emulation. This is one of many analog-style synth options, but one worth checking out!
Disco School ReFill
Daft Punk sampled various genres and disco was one of them! Disco School includes lots of useful instrument patches and REX loops that you can use and chop up. No need to worry about copyright issues with this one! The “NeedleDrop” patches for NN-XT and the “Disco School Track Combi” are particularly fun and can give a Daft Punk vibe!
S73 Electric Piano
I think that the S73 Rack Extension is the best sounding sampled Rhodes out there. Daft Punk definitely featured the Rhodes plenty in their music. You might be well covered with the ElectroMechanical ReFill (also created by J Chris Griffin and now built into the Factory Soundbank), but this one is so good.
Efektor Distortion Bundle
You’ve gotta have distortion to put on those 303 bass lines! People have said that Daft Punk used the Boss MT-2 pedal (among others), and while there isn’t a direct emulation of the MT-2 for Reason, I find that the Kuassa Effektor Distortion Bundle covers an array of distortion types and each of the three devices also has 5 modes to choose from, so they're fairly flexible.
Virtual Bassist Royal
When you want an electric bass with a groovy Daft Punk feel, VB Royal is a great choice. You can play it freely in Instrument mode or switch to the Player mode for the built-in phrases.
Kings of Kong ReFill
Daft Punk used many drum machines including the the 707, 808, 909, and Linndrum. Kings of Kong has you covered and then some. There’s lots of useful patches not only for Kong, but NN-XT and Dr. Octo Rex as well.
Analogue Monsters 3 ReFill
When filling out the options for analogue synths, this is a classic ReFill that covers a great amount. It includes some synths that were known to be used by Daft Punk, such as the MS-20, and offers a wide variety of sound with it’s many well-sampled synths and well-designed patches.
Needle Distortion
When you want to sample in the style of Daft Punk, adding some vinyl flavor, Needle Distortion delivers with tons of control over the sound.
Blamsoft VK-1
One of the synths Daft Punk used and has a plethora of as part of their live performance “pyramid” is the Minimoog Voyager, which the VK-1 emulates. Yes, it’s free as a VST but don’t you want that CV connectivity?
French and Filter House ReFill
This one I don't have yet, but it's on my list. It was too on point to not include. The demos sound great! Does anybody here have this one?
Your thoughts on this selection?
I tried to keep the number of items to a minimum. What might you add or switch out?
- Maybe instead of the Efektor Distortion Bundle, you go with the Blamsoft Distortion Trifecta or D16 Devastor2?
- Instead of Kings of Kong, maybe you take a look at Ekssperimental Sounds DM-999 and Transistor Drum Machine, or maybe the Quadelectra Jackbox’s? There's also some great kits by Peff in the Factory Soundbank.
- What about a filter? Daft Punk was known to use the Mutronics Mutator, the Akai MCF-42 and some others. There isn’t a direct equivalent of those in RE form, but there are plenty of great filter options in the shop. I really like the RX950 filter.
- Instead of UJAM’s Virtual Bassist Royal, perhaps you look at getting Bassline Generator and maybe Reason Electric Bass?
- Maybe instead of ReDominator, you go with PinkNoise's new iUNO, which is a sampled Juno-60.
