Hi all,
I have a question. So, I created a couple of redrum patterns and some sequences and arranged all to a minimal track in the sequencer.
Now i want to play the song and do some live manipulation like all the djs do, so drop a hi-cut filter, delay, reverbs with long tails or some flanger effects to it while playing the track. I want record those effects, too....just like what you hear when some djs play their live sets.
Is there a good combinator you can recommend? I dont want to do this via the SSL mixer because the UX feels so extremely bad with arming and recording SSL's mixder automation. I want instead apply some combinator or multi effect to the master chain (or before the master chain????)
Please help.
Thanks in advance

I would put the desired insert effects on the master channel.
But honestly I think the best is to take advantage of the environment you’re in as opposed to what the djs have to work with. They only get the song, all elements mixed together. They only get the master channel, while you have the multitrack.
I would use buses for grouping elements for insert effects I want to affect together, and send effects for stuff like reverb and delays, unless you want to have those as inserts which you can totally do but aren’t limited to having those in the master you can apply that to buses or to individual tracks which would give you a lot more granular control over the results and end up with a more polished piece. ♂️

To achieve live manipulation of effects while playing back your track in a DJ-style setup, you can use a Combinator in Reason, which will allow you to control multiple effects at once.
