I have a rotary that i want to control the offset of euclid so that a full turn moves a step from 1-32. Euclid however behaves a bit weird in that its offset goes from -16 to +16.
So in the end i need the first half of the values of my rotatry go from 64-127 and the second half from 0-63. It is like phase shifting a saw by 50% to the right. I was hoping a formula for that type of conversion exists that i can put into pepins math RE to get the desired values.
Need help for a formula to phaseshift cv values

I'm able to do it with the help of a free RE called Aftermath CV8x4. The Combinator's Rotary dial takes Euclid from 1 to 16, then a jump to -16 and back up to 0. The positive and negative ranges of Euclid's Offset are effectively swapped, which is what I think you're trying to accomplish.
I've mapped a Rotary to modulate two of the Aftermath CV dials, but have adjusted the source ranges and target ranges, as well as setting the CV in from Aftermath to Unipolar. Here's a few images, but I'd be happy to send you the Combinator patch. All you need is the Aftermath (free).

Here's the Combinator file, zipped.

If I'm understanding correctly, this formula might work:electrofux wrote: ↑06 May 2024I was hoping a formula for that type of conversion exists that i can put into pepins math RE to get the desired values.
Code: Select all
(K+0.5)%1

Thx for the answers. Will try tonight. Good stuff!
Edit: just plotted out the (k+0,5)%1 on some online calculator and it looks exactly right. The combi one is crazy too but i need those cv ins otherwise. But i will definitly use this nifty technique somewhere else.

Here's how to do it with Thor (of course!) in a Combinator:
CV1 out is covering the full range from 0 -127 on the top half and -127-0 on the bottom half. This is routed to the Pitch Bend wheel on Thor to 'visualize' the motion. Connect this (CV1 out) to the CV input of you choice!Selig Audio, LLC

Thor is the GOAT! Thx for that aswell. Three different solutions for one thing that shows.selig wrote: ↑07 May 2024Here's how to do it with Thor (of course!) in a Combinator:
