just started up Reason for a late night recording session and opened ReDrum. You know what? I love the freaking fan. It's awesome - it's beautifully executed and it's extremely funny.

That will be all.

I just thought of what could be a funny easter egg. After X number of months from the release date, the fan will start to show dust collecting on the fins!

Maybe a little animated heat haze above the power supply would be nice.

And folder tracks.

Time to break out the virtual demagnetized needle nosers and pray to whichever God you're feeling the mostest.

It's there to cool down the CPU, if every device had a fan, we wouldn't need real ones in our computer and there for we would save money but software engineers are too lazy and now we are stuck buying real ones.

My theory is that the CPU think it's real so it's becomes real, kind of like mind over matter but for computers (or silicon life if you prefer), but having a real fan is kind of a safety back up plan cause if the CPU ever questions itself on reality and realizes the fan is only virtual and stops believing, you never know what could happen.

Indeed, i did the HD graphics for Redrum and included the animation of the fan for RS to use if they liked it, very happy it made it into the release :)

I love the fan too. I knew what this thread was about before I even opened it and I'm guessing many of you did too.
