I’ve answered this question many times myself over the years but I’m tired and things have changed and I thought maybe someone wouldn’t mind helping me out so I don’t have to go searching on RS.
I just got a laptop. Hate laptops. I’ve got Reason 12 on my desktop pc and registered for offline use. Thought I’d install it in my laptop. What’s the deal now? I guess I can have it in both as long as I only use one of them at a time. Can I authorize both machines for offline use? Is there anything else I should be aware of? Thanks if you can just tell me the important stuff. :)

For the laziness: long term - up to 3 machines, no need to if you be online and start reason every 30 days.

Magic. Thanks. And as before…only one incidence of Reason running at a time per license?

I have not tested more than one at one time... but there does not seem to be any mention of only one of the three authorized computers being able to be run> as a rule, that I have found anywhere with documentation of the new authorization system... it was that way in the past though > when you authorized 2 ( one with a dongle or balance, and one authorized computer > you could indeed only run one or the other> if the second computer is not connected to the net ever, how would they even know with the old authorization system? )> it would be cool if you could get all three authorized computers running at the same time. The possibilities would be endless.

I’m too old to handle focusing on more than one thing a time.

Yeah as mentioned you can authorize 3 computers for offline use with long-term authorization for 1 year.

Also, I believe every time you start Reason while online or when you sync and update a license, the long-term authorization also updates.
