I remember at the time 11 Suite was released I was PISSED and MAD

Having bought 12 of the 16 included REs earlier, I felt "cheated" out of my money, because I paid full or close to full prices for each of them, whereas the Suite people got them for like $10-15 a pop if I recall.

I have to say I lost a lot of faith and trust in RS at that point, although Mattias salvaged it at a later date admitting that they'll never add a previously-paid RE to new version of Reason (so, I'd not expect Objekt in R13 for free ;) ). It annoyed me so much, that I sold my R11 license and was using R+ for some time, then bought 11 Suite 2nd hand.

There, I showed them!!! :?

In hindsight, I think this was - and still is * - an awesome offer and I wish they'd perhaps do it again. Maybe this time with an option to "complete" the bundle for those, who already bought some of the stuff between R11 Suite and current R+, for example allowing us to get the "missing" REs at half the price?

On the other hand I really doubt it, because that would set a precedent against R+ sales.

What you think of R11 Suite?

What you think of prospects for Suite in the future?

* whenever someone asks about Reason, I advice to them to get R11 Suite 2nd hand & upgrade to 12 :)

Yeah, same here...sort of. I'd bought a whole load of them at full price. That said, the ones I didn't have were the ones I hadn't bought for one reason or the other. Buying Suite would have just been one of those "maybe good to have purchases". So not bothered. I'm on 12 which I got for something like $70 on JRR and have so many plugins and REs that I actually don't know what I have.

I hope they do another suite like you propose with a complete your bundle option, maybe after a few more devices are released.

Right. One could also argue, that if I bought an RE months or years prior to Suite release where it came included, then I already had my moneys worth anyway in the music I created with that RE in that time.

Oh, for sure. Since I got back to "making" music in 2017, I've only finished 2 tracks and "almost" finished maybe another 4-5. That justification clearly doesn't apply to me, just figured I'll add it for balance sake.

3rd on the worst replies list for me is "Why don't you just try it for yourself and decide.".

Rtfm!
You got the value out of it already!
Why don’t you trial it and decide for yourself?

Actually top least favourite comment is when self righteous folk refer to people with a differing opinion as "whiners". That one really does my head in.

Yes.

But it doesn't bother me anymore, as you can clearly see in my signature.

I draw enough joy & fulfillment from music-adjacent activities :)

But let's not talk about me - what about that R11 Suite?

How do you feel about "It is what it is"?
A friend once confided to a group of us that he hated that expression. Naturally we jumped right into using it and, yes, he gets genuinely upset. The brilliant thing is that today, a few years on, you don't even have to say the expression. It's enough to look at him and say "Well Bob..." Anyway, you have to admit that it definitely is what it is.

Incidentally I benefitted hugely from R11 Suite in terms of getting loads of REs for not much money. However, I have hardly used any of them. Value can be a difficult concept.

"What you think of R11 Suite?"

It's all I use. : )

I have R12 but don't use it, because the R12 graphics need more work, and I like the vintage Reason graphics more.

I would sell my R12 license, but they may eventually fix some of the devices, I have issues with.

The workflow in R12 is nice though....combinators inside of channel devices, and all those fun combinator toys.

Now we know the reason why they canceled the Suite line and created Reason+ in its place ;)

Jokes aside, I think the subscription is the easier option for the user that wants it all...and that's how they see it as well. It really does make things much simpler. If you want to buy the new REs, best to just get them while on sale.
