As a blind Reason user, who's limited sight has got worse as Reason's screen reader support has also got worse, alturnative options have to be looked at.
This latest web prototype I have been working on, uses Reason's Remote SDK with Web UI to provide keyboard navigation and speech feedback of the main mixer, sequencer transport and other items available in the document scope as well as instruments etc.

The UI has 3 tabs each made up of 128 potential controls set out in an 8 by 16 grid. The tabs switch between mixer, transport and instruments. You can add multiple pages of controls for both the mixer and instruments.

Here's a quick little video of me showing the web UI working with Reason.

There's more videos on my Reason accessibility project and a few videos on ableton's public beta that now offers screen reader support for live.

This is impressive.

Top tip. Turn off made for kids on your you tube videos to allow people to comment (should you wish to).
