Just installed 12, upgraded from 10, and the first thing I'm seeing is blurry fonts everywhere. I remember seeing something about this back when 12 was first released, but assumed it was fixed. Fonts are god awful, blurry. Only setting I see is the Application Zoom, and none of the variations do anything, plus I want it how it should be, 100%. I can't believe this is this is how it's supposed to look....
Reason 12 - Blurry font
Excellent screenshot. How can you see anything on your screen? I mean, anything at all?Harlin wrote: ↑27 Dec 2023Just installed 12, upgraded from 10, and the first thing I'm seeing is blurry fonts everywhere. Reason12, Win10
lol unsure what happened there, screenshot was correct size when I uploaded it. Its not scaling in Windows 11, nothing else has the issue, including Reason 10. The fonts are appearing anti-aliased. Uploaded the 10 and 12 screenshots.
I'm assuming its not OS, Driver, GFX related as no other application has an issue on my 34 curved monitor. Only Reason 12.
Yes updated all the VSTs through Reason Companion.

Just to really rule out any kind of scaling, what zoom level is Reason 12 being rendered at? ie: Options > Application Zoom.
Also, does changing that help at all? (it shouldn't matter I know, but trouble shooting sometimes requires trying everything)

I'm not on Windows so can't offer help, but that latest image in general looks blurry overall.
Is Windows scaling set to 100%?

I noticed this problem in early versions of R12, but didn't saw it quite a while... Might be worth trying to delete any cache files in the Reason folders.

Reason12, Win10
This looks like some badly set windows Clear Type setting to me.
Then it might be some forced anti aliasing setting from the GPU control panel. At least that could explain the difference between R11 and R12 as R12 is now using opengl to render the GUI.
Now I also remember that some GPU drivers for older GPUs have trouble with R12 due to outdated opengl versions. It could be related: viewtopic.php?p=571479#p571479

I've made the same complaint a while ago when coming up to reason 12.
I have switched to a high resolution monitor set to 3848 x 2160 (150%) and almost everything is quite beautiful (the resolution).
While there's things about reason 12 that are quite awful in the UI and I've been wondering if I should post about them but it has nothing to do with resolution. More with some parts not being updated like the NN-Nano in Kong (blue section) being not as crisp as let's say the configure section in Combinator 2 (blue section)
Some stuff is more related to the UI guys being lazy on incompetent. one example is the Browser (Instrument, Effects, Utilities, Players section) been transformed ugly dark gray with arrow and fonts being unaligned. When you go to other sections like (Reason sounds, Factory sounds, ect), they keep the old light gray and everything is properly aligned.
Someone said somewhere that Reason 12 on regular monitor is worse that reason 11 (for blurriness and crispiness) and that was my experience
