Sun tans and alcohol addictions I would imagine. It's still summer. Things will pick up again in September.

Swedish suntan sounds like a mixed drink or some freaky lovin'.

My information is that they spend the summer thinking up ways to update Reason that deviously avoid making any of the changes that the tantrum-throwing "loyal Reason user" would like to see implemented

That's what I'd be doing anyway

If you are taking a photo of anyone on this forum and you want them to smile, just say "road map". :D

But please note that it does not work with any of the RS team.

I wouldn't be surprised if they ditch the road maps. Too many folks failed to understand what 'plan not a promise' means.

Would be a shame though. I like knowing what to look forward to.

I'm not asking for a timeline. I would simply like to know what is in the works.

I figured the lore about Swedes and summer was probably exaggerated.

But then I visited Stockholm in summer and then the following Christmas.

Totally different cities. And I am not talking about the weather!

(And yes of course I did walk by the RS office. Because fanboy.)

Summer in Sweden usually has the vast majority of Props (err - Reason Studios) mostly on vacation. Usually just some minor maintenance updates. But now that Reason 12 has fulfilled everything intended in the road maps since launch, I'm sure some meetings will occur deciding on whether to move on to Reason 13 or just stop at 12 and keep adding stuff (very little reason to assume the latter, IMHO). What we end up seeing in the next version is anyone's guess. IMHO it's going to be hard to top Objekt - that's the sort of plugin that only comes around once in a great while, so hopefully they'll focus more on core Reason DAW updates and improvements. Maybe some creative effects? Beats me...

It does seem like it's time to focus back on the DAW, there's been a ton of advancements to workflow that Reason has fallen behind on. Sadly though they have no impact on the RRP and that seems to be the primary focus these days.

The sequencer is the weakest part. I mean its fine for me, as I've not advanced my sequencing skills much beyond Cubase 1.0, so just having Blocks was a huge help :) But I know it's seen as a weak spot.

It was a roadmap though, not a plan.

I think I'm certain they're from this nice little happy movie here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8772262/

I was referring to their first roadmap, which included a disclaimer:
"This is a plan, not a promise. Plans sometimes change, and if they do, you’ll be the first to know in a follow-up post."

There’s nothing new to implement, but there may be some bugs left to squash. I’m just guessing there are still some VST3 issues to sort out.
