I don't know what HDD she has. I can only assume something between very old and support slow or modern and faster.
You're evading my statement.
Your (current) computer may be 4 years old, but your (current) CPU performs about the same as my 10+ year old CPU - which I consider outdated and slow AF. According to CPU Benchmark, that Acer's CPU performs pretty good for a cheap laptop:
SSD's are pretty fast, and cheap to buy. They do fail sooner than regular drives I've read, A new one might help a bit.
