Reason Metronome!

Happy Holidays, All!
Other than being the most awesome music making DAW I've used,
Reason has the most musical metronome of all DAWs that I've had the chance to use, LOL!
Is it just ME!?
Everytime I use the metronome in a production, it gets 'lost' in the track, regardless of the genre.
When I take the metronome out, the 'feel' of the track definitely changes, makes my shoulders slump, IDK....
Is there a name for that sound, a percussion sound perhaps? I want to add it to all my track, LOL!
Thanks
TAZ

Robotic Bean has a Metronome Rack Extension which includes the Reason click (among others). You could use this just like another instrument.

I've had that feeling before with the metronome of Reason. I've also recorded the metronome in Reason as a sample so I can put it into Redrum and have it play through out a song, I then automated the level so it never fully stood out but it kept the vibe of the song by still being there in the background.

That's awesome - years ago (2011 according to the file!) I created a REX file for similar reasons. One primary advantage to using the REX file is sending it to an output OTHER than the main output, like for phones but not in the speakers. Another is to alter (or add sounds to) the pattern, or to pan it etc. Basically, for more flexibility.

I find that with almost any metronome in general that is not tone based as you create the rhythm around it, sometimes you end up writing the track in a matter where the metronome is adding to the track and without it, you wonder if you need to add a metronome permeantely.

Thanks Selig, I appreciate it.
I remember you making this a long time ago, and in the last year (or so) I was trying to find it (before I sampled Reason's metronome myself) to use because I couldn't find it, now I have it. Thank you

In those situations just change it to a cowbell
