Guys stupid question here,

I've always used reason as a standalone DAW, however considering changing my main DAW from reason to Logic Pro when I get my new MacBook.

If I use Logic Pro as my DAW will my current reason standalone then act as a rack extension? or do I have to download another version of Reason to do this.

Appreciate there is either a yes or no answer to this but just picking your magnificent brains.

You can use the rack plugin if you are on reason 11 or later. It should have installed already when you installed reason if I remember correctly. It will show up as a vst plugin.

Be mindful it is not the same as reason standalone but I use it in another daw and its great to have all the Reason devices and all the rack extensions available.

The RRP in Logic is a beautiful thing. You can put it into MIDI FX (ideal for Players), INPUT (main instrument slot) and AUDIO FX (effects obviously).

What MacBook configuration have you made?
I am on the look to upgrade laptop so let us know how it goes and works when your Macbook arrives.
