Bassline Generator Helper Question

When I go to create the bassline generator, it comes with the ID8 below it. Is there a way that I can separate the two if I don't want to use the ID8 for generating basslines? Can I use a different Synthesizer device in Reason to generate the basslines?

First create an instrument you want and then drag the player above that instruments. It's how players work. You drag it above the instrument and they are connected. No cables. You can add other players in the chain and they should all be placed above the instrument you want players to send notes into.
