Reason suddenly ignores ignition key and asks me to log-in

Yes, I know the ignition key was somewhat controversially discontinued but ...

It was all working fine until just now when starting Reason 12 produced a log-in screen instead of going straight into the program. I've tried moving the key to another USB port. I've tried re-installing the Codemeter software. The key, with its authorised products, is also showing when I look under my Reason account page.

Any ideas? Is the green light on the end meant to be permanantly on, because it's off?

I believe it only comes on when its being accessed.

It seems to have started working again. So either it just wanted me to log-in or it's not working and Reason is just logging me in automatically. Oh well, I can do something, that's the main thing.
