Newest build of Reason. Dragged in a VST and took a screen shot using the little camera icon. Dragged in the next VST did the same and got this error message. Never had that before.
Onboard Intel HD Graphics 630 and 16GB RAM.

I've never seen that one but it shows how behind the times RS are. Any modern company worth its salt would take that opportunity to supply a sponsored link to a FX card supplier. :D

Quite a few programs now use 3D/opengl capabilities even some where you would not expect this a first like browsers, software installation services (steam, R+ companion, ...) and the windows UI itself (esp. when using night colours mode).

You could try to see if there's a better/newer driver for your GPU available. This could also increase the performance of Reason 12.

It's an onboard graphics. This shares it's memory with the CPU. Maybe try to figure out how to give the GPU more of the RAM. Using a high load of RAM intense plugins could cause this.
Remember that high resolutions eat up lot of memory. If you have an extra graphics card, you often have 8 or more GB alone for the graphics.

Try to reduce the resolution, quit unused Apps, use lower scaling, increase virtual memory, give GPU more memory or buy one of those cheap new graphics boards.

Very weird. Same specs and no issues at all here. Mac mini 2018.

Hitting Ctrl+Shift+Escape will bring up the task manager, which gives you some more info on your GPU utilization under the Performance tab.

Only happened once so it might just have been a one off glitch. Props sent me a workaround to run Reason without OpenGL. I’ll wait and see if it happens again before trying that out though.

Well, it's been working without OpenGL for 20 years ;)

Is the workaround public knowledge? It might be handy to share if allowed.

Not a chance, it was a hard pass on release and it's still a huge disappointment over a year later ;)
