I also agree about the F8 key, which I had to reprogram. Anyway, my workflow has slowed down a lot, and since 2000, with the first version of R1, this had never happened before.” I’m tempted too to downgrade to Reason12 or switch to another DAW 😫

Also, not having tool window with f8 and having it relocated, just feels like a downgrade, feels so much worse. I'm installing 12, waste of $99.
Thanks,

I want a mix my 16 midi channels on my fa06 using the SSL mixer built into reason 16 individual channels using Midi CC.

I have a wish list for 14 to include midi patch lists. But if they can not do that, at least allow us to mix and master our External Midi instruments (16 channel - multitimbral mode) with reasons built in mixer. Instead of having to bounce everything to audio before mixing. I need a slider 😭 , the front of the board, also has no CV7 control to route an automation lane for volume. Not sure what to do, other than to adjust the volumes of those channels directly on the board(fa06 in this case). I did find an fa06 workstation editor - 3rd party for windows only; which helps, but its not the final solution.

They are falling behind and I am tempted to go back to Cubase or Pro Tools.

All I want is MIDI chase. If MIDI chase is implemented in the future, I will stick with Reason forever. If not, I'll have to go to Studio One or Bitwig or something.

Bitwig has native Linux version, which is massive. I'm considering buying it because I am switching more and more from
Windows to Linux.

Also Bitwig has nodes, which is halfway between Logic and Pure Data or the better sibling framework I'm now using, PlugData.
This is the future for Reason and for many artists, PlugData is better than MAX for Ableton and are starting to create more and more
stuff for it. Amazing stuff. Maybe Reason was never intended to become the new Reaktor... but neither Bitwig, and what it-s doing it's
doing it right. Perhaps Reason should copy just a bit of it.

Players had been a massive innovation but we haven't seen a massive outburst of creativity past the initial peak of releases.

PlugData is the missing link between Players and Vst3/Au that Reason is missing IMO.
Bitwig nodes seems to me just another custom Pure Data framework adjusted for ease of use on the end.

Besides Multitimbral support, I would like to suggest a VST, Extension or even way to convert frequencies of beatboxing to drums. So you could route kicks/snares/hhs while you beatbox to different channels and then place those midi notes on a drum kit...

I find it a pain in the but to select each snare, kick and hh from audio>midi and move them up to their respective lanes. Especially when you beatbox out a full 8 bars, or 16 bars.

Thnx. I am not paying $100-200 for a VST to handle this. That's crazy.

This should be possible...All you need to do is to create a multiband envelope follower which sends out a signal, which than can be recorded via CVPT Player...theoretical... :-)

I would just use stem separation then audio to midi on the individual parts.
