Hi EdwardKiy,Hoboys wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021Here's the ACTUAL scenario, "dude": the dealer sold me the car saying the car was defective, but with a promise that for the money I'd given him, he would hire more technicians and would be able to fix the defects. Instead, he hired a new person for damage control and 0 technicians and went on selling the audio systems like nothing ever happened.
You are avoiding conflict to a point where you have no self-esteem and it's just painful to read. Have some backbone ffs.
Sorry to hear about your car troubles. Perhaps your story would be better suited for www.cartalk.com?

it's just about having the series have a clear theme. the mimic beatmaking series is really about beats and hip hop. this upcoming series is about house and electronic music more generally. we'll continue to explore other genres for these series too. what should we do next in terms of genre?

We love all music and all genres (well, almost ). It's just about giving this series a clear theme and direction. We'll continue to explore other genres in other series for sure.MarkTarlton wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021Yeah you should drop the genre boundaries and just go with good musical ideas, and if someone happens to do folk, heavy metal, dub/reggae, rock, jazz, classical, etc... than that only helps broaden the scope of what you are selling.

I think voice only could work, although on camera is preferable :=)

We have a whole blog post dedicated to the unresolved issues in Reason 12. https://www.reasonstudios.com/blog/reas ... tus-updatefuture-bit wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021The real-life scenario is colorful RS videos that hide an unpleasant truth: Reason 12's huge and unresolved issues. Rather than telling the truth, RS is looking for fans like you who will happily argue how fun it is to work in Reason 12.PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021
This would only make sense if the dealer was doing the repairs himself. A one man dealership/car factory. Impressive non existent scenario, dude. Tell me more.
But first of all, you are deceiving yourself, dude.
We're not hiding or shying away from it. That said, the fact is, Reason 12 runs smoothly for a many (if not most) users.
We have a YouTube channel with almost a quarter of a million subscribers on it. If you'd like to be featured on it to promote yourself, your music or just have fun making a video, we're offering the platform. If not, no worries - no one has to do anything!

I'm totally confused by this comment. I'm not asking anyone to do anything. We're offering users a chance to be part of the launch by making content if they want to. We have a fairly big platform (200k+ subscribers on YouTube), so that can be kinda cool for someone looking to promote themselves or their music (or just have fun making a video that reaches lots of people).outdatedstandard wrote: ↑04 Dec 2021I have supported Reason all these years by purchasing updates and REs. But now you are asking me to advertise the Bassline Generator with a happy face, although it is available to me separately for money. Are you not ashamed? The new user gets this $ 1 for 3 months, and the old user with 12 versions has to pay. This is discrimination against old users, and this is very sad.

Hello,
How much time do we have to make this video?
I would be interested but I don't always have the time I want to make music.
thanks in advance

Also, moderator note: to everyone in this thread - please keep things on topic. If you are interested in participating and getting yourself free publicity, especially if you are a YouTube content creator, here's your chance to get access to another 177,000 more subscribers. Big up to @James and Reason Studios for reaching out and giving people this opportunity.
For everyone else, create a separate thread if you'd like discuss anything else and play armchair CEO's. Thanks

I struggle with this because the concept of genres is unnecessarily restrictive, in terms of creating music (great for cataloguing it though) but I guess I’d like to see more organic music/stuff outside of what RS tend to market to. stuff where the electronic bits are important, but maybe not the main focal point.jamespember wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021it's just about having the series have a clear theme. the mimic beatmaking series is really about beats and hip hop. this upcoming series is about house and electronic music more generally. we'll continue to explore other genres for these series too. what should we do next in terms of genre?
to make that more specific, maybe a broadly speaking, a rock, or alternative, or indie focus.
a lot of music I write feels very rock-based, but often uses electronic basslines, synths, drums, and the like. to me, that’s often more interesting than music made 100% with electronic instruments, or 100% with physical instruments.

Did you also come up with that graph on your bosses' Roadmap blog? jkjamespember wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021We have a YouTube channel with almost a quarter of a million subscribers on it.
Reason Studios are 41% away from quarter million . From current 177K
That's like saying Ableton has almost half a million. Well, actually Ableton's only 24% away from 1/2 million. From 402K.
(Though I am rooting for you guys to hit 1/4 million before Ableton gets 1/2million)
Some of us ain't so pretty

Here I am! Thank you James for having me being featured in this series! I had great fun composing this little song with the BLG. Awesome device and incredibly powerful. ATM I am routing the >110 vel. to a slap bass and I can't have enough of it!jamespember wrote: ↑30 Dec 2021

I enjoyed this very much Quarmat, love your workflow and sound (edit: and humour!)
I'm glad Reason are releasing videos like this one on a regular basis, and the BLG certainly lends itself well to quick & informative tutorials by its very nature. But more variety like this and less trap please! And I'm not saying that as an old bugger - even the young uns must be sick of that boring sound by now, it's so tired and spent as a genre. That being said even those videos are better than nothing - the latest one with Arcitype had good general tips (I like how he got Friktion involved and some other techniques he used).

Reason Studios YT subscribers went from 177K to 178K at the same time Ableton went from 402K to 407K.
I'm still rooting for you to hit 1/4 million before Ableton gets 1/2 million!
Let's go Reason Studios!
