Hello,

I have looked at a lot of step time sequencers but I can't find one that allows me to record MIDI in step time for like 128 measures in a single track and everything in between. Also I would like it to have an editor to be able change the steps from, say 16ths to quarter notes to eighths while laying down the MIDI step time track and to be able to edit the velocity and note length after the track is done. I used to have Dr.T's KCS 5.0 and it had this feature in Tiger, but that won't integrate with Reason. I can only find things that allow 8 or 16 bars of step time before I have to choose another "slot" on the program, (like you do on a Roland 303/707/808 or 909). I also want something that allows me to do this with chords (I want to use my keyboard to enter the MIDI notes), a mono note sequencer would not work for me. Is there anything like this in Reason or perhaps a VST plugin?

Thanks,
MonoDuo

First of all, Dr T ftw! I was big into Tunesmith and X-oR.

As for step sequencers that run dozens of measures, I can't think of anything in the Reason world or in Voltage Modular or in VCV Rack. In Reason, I use "Step" a lot, but it maxes out at 32 steps and is monophonic. Tons of control, though.

Loque, those are interesting, thanks, but I really want something that is MIDI keyboard controlled and can handle at least 64 measures at a time. Let me know if you find anything like that, I've been looking for awhile.
