I was checking out all of the new patches that shipped with Reason 12 and here are the ones I think are the best, or at least pretty darn good. Some have notations some don't. Let me know your thoughts... and YOUR best picks.

Related to this, I feel like maybe people could share .favo files more often around here. Not necessarily in this case with a best of the new patches, but overall favorites of the FSB perhaps. Like a top 20 or even just a top 10.

These are your favorites lists. You don't have to do anything special to save them. Just create a fav list in Reason and add stuff to it.

They can be found here:

macOS: Users/username/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Reason
Windows: %APPDATA%\Propellerhead Software\Reason

In the blog entry about R12 there is a .favo file to download for all of the new patches scattered throughout the FSB. You download that and place it in that folder and you'll see it inside Reason with your other favorites lists.

I'm probably being dense, but where do you find this favourites list? I've put the file in the AppData folder.

Make sure to restart Reason and then it should be the very last favorites list in the browser named as the file is "New in Reason 12"

This reminds me - I must work out how to create favourites lists in Reason. I’ve NEVER worked out how to do it having tried a few times over the years. I keep thinking I should look it up in the manual but usually just go on to doing something else. Right, that’s it. I’m looking it up right now
