Anyone who watches it dies before R12 is officially released

Little fun fact: the turntable felt mat has the Barolo Soundsystem logo on it. It's quite interesting as it's a realtively obscure dj duo from a town not far from where I live. The town Barolo is best known for the wine sharing the same name, one of the most appreciated red wines in Europe. (Sci-Fi writer /cyberpunk godfather and wine connoisseur Bruce Sterling refers to it as the "the best red in Europe", much to the annoyance of the French ) and for a summer music festival. I wonder how this fet mat eneded up in this ad. Maybe Ryan or Mattias can shed some light on this little detail. I am very curious by now!
EDIT: they are performing in Sweden since 2021 (maybe resident dj at Paradiso? dunno) so that maybe why. The guys might have met with some of the Props.

It's weird and odd and has very little of the flair we expect from a typical Reason video. It certainly doesn't feel like a Ryan Harlin effort but I could be wrong.
I was surprised by the view count too.
Also surprised they turned off likes and comments! I wonder if that's permanent now...

Absolutely one of the best packs in R+ in my humble opinion too! Great patches.joeyluck wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021I posted about this last week. It's Navi's pack and you can still download it from the blog

Am I the only one that feels Reason will be phased out as a fully functioning DAW and be just a subscription rack plugin for others. They are pushing that narrative as hard as they can and in a business model it makes sense, no more need to support a full program or develop or debug each release. Just take the subscription money and throw a RE or two in the rack every 6 months whilst pumping the 'fresh soundpacks' out on a conveyor belt, also taking a cut from any dev brave enough to release their own REs into the environment.
I've had a shitty day so I'm feeling skeptical

I could see that happening but only if the Subscription model takes off and can be sustained long term. What I fear more is them closing up shop if its not successful and being sold to someone else then all bets are off. I'll be upgrading to 12 at any rate and hope for the best. .BumCuddle wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021Am I the only one that feels Reason will be phased out as a fully functioning DAW and be just a subscription rack plugin for others. I'm not all surprised the comments are turned off. They've been getting lit up regarding the direction they've taken.Jagwah wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021It's weird and odd and has very little of the flair we expect from a typical Reason video. I have no idea, but I doubt it. At least until the current user base dies off anyways - or can't produce anymore. There still money to be made in perpetual standalone licenses, so they'd be dumb to completely ignore those folks.BumCuddle wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021Am I the only one that feels Reason will be phased out as a fully functioning DAW and be just a subscription rack plugin for others.stratatonic wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021New one here as well...she seems happier in this one...

I am curious, though, as to where RS has decided to focus these ads to. You don't spend ad money these days just throwing ads all over the place.
I haven't seen the ads yet buzzing about online, so I'm obviously not their target market.
Maybe the female tween/teen/young adult market? The two ads in this thread so far would appeal more to them than anyone else.

I am personally not a fan of Reason+, but these ads are a lot more in tune with current popular culture/aesthetics than anything Reason Studios has produced in recent years. Although I love Ryan's videos, I can't imagine anyone under the age of 25 would be interested in watching them.

Well I'm 100 percent on board with anything that encourages more women into producing.stratatonic wrote: ↑31 Aug 2021Maybe the female tween/teen/young adult market? The two ads in this thread so far would appeal more to them than anyone else.

Maybe Reason Studios should launch a 15 second ad competition?
Users could create music and a very short video, showcasing what they love most about Reason as best they can in 15 seconds.
