Very.
Looking forward to seeing what the new combinator will do, that's about it.
Oh and finding out if there's any features that I would definitely enjoy.
And how licensing is going to be handled along with ignition key syncing
Are we all going to have to sign in every time we start Reason

Not so much excited as curious. I tend to hang back on major upgrades until the dust settles or the pot is sweetened.

Partially excited. It'll be cool to see all the Combinator stuff we've been waiting years for become a reality, but the R+ subscription kinda dampens the rest of it, as Mimic/HDG/browser stuff has been there for a while now. Was I excited about these features... well yes, but months ago, not 5 days from now. Ultimately, the release schedule is at a bunch of different times for everybody, and I wonder how this affects the hype train.
Very excited here too, well - they addressed some big things for many in this version.
To be honest…not even remotely.
I bought 11 to get the free upgrade and I haven’t even checked out any of the new features in that.
I guess that even though I finally upgraded I’m still in the “10 to the end” headset. Time will tell.

Couldn't vote because you missed off, a 'bit excited' so I'm neither of those 3 and also missed off 'not excited about the daw as I know there's too much missing but depends on the RRP' as well lol!

I'm excited. Combinator 2 is a bloody big deal and it's going to be very interesting watching that all unfold.
Reason+ vs perpetual is also going to be interesting to watch. I wonder how they are going to play that come launch day? - Does everyone think the upgrade price is going to rise or stay the same? They will almost definitely make R+ seem the most attractive option so it's going to be something like the usual R+ limited time offers or the perpetual licence price will rise.
I'm off to the cash and carry this weekend for a pallet of popcorn as next week is going to be more entertaining than peak time Game of Thrones!

If perpetual licensing costs rise then I'm going to need some major improvements before I buy it and R+ is far to underwhelming given what I've already purchased over the years......nickb523 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I'm excited. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you are doing with CMBv2
I am kinda hoping they offer some sort of tiered upgrade price with it being cheaper for version 11 owners as these people couldn't jump on the buy 11 get 12 free offer earlier this year (yeah I have got 11 so there is some self serving hope herenickb523 wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I'm excited. I'm predicting a price hike to something like £149. Their business plan needs to push us towards the subs model. It's not definite that I will upgrade but if I do it will be at a sale price, assuming they still happen at some point.Popey wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I am kinda hoping they offer some sort of tiered upgrade price with it being cheaper for version 11 owners as these people couldn't jump on the buy 11 get 12 free offer earlier this year (yeah I have got 11 so there is some self serving hope here). If it's still £129 I guess I will consider it once I see what new combinator etc brings.
I don’t think they’ll need to increase the price to make R+ more attractive. Only R11 suite owners have a lesser value when subscribing. If you’re one who cares about owning all of the RS racks, the current total of everything is about $1,603. Plus endless presets and the current Reason version included. If you’re one with the Pokémon “gotta catch em’ all” mindset, $20 a month sells itself as an incredible deal.
I think some forget this and compare buying just Reason outright to R+ and of course the math won’t add up if you do that.

I have purchased way more than that over the years.QVprod wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I don’t think they’ll need to increase the price to make R+ more attractive. The amount is minimal for subscription but if I started creating in V12 using sub and wanted to stop subscription for any reason I wouldn't be able to access the v12 projects without then buying a license so it doesn't matter how many ways I look at it subscription just isn't for me and if that truly means just not buying anything from RS then so be it (shame but it's the only real option)
I'm actually sat playing with pandas new device and although I would normally have just purchased it I can't actually bring myself to invest until RS shows what's going to happen to people in my position.
not excited but will upgrade the way I use Reason does not include lots of synths or CV stuff so combinator for me so far has only been a space holder for amps and FX for my guitars and bass patches not programmed for anything. Apart from hi res graphic there seams to be zero in this upgrade for me
They've been clear. Permanent Reason licenses aren't going away. They've been clear on this.Billy+ wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I have purchased way more than that over the years.

There is a near 0% chance of them forcing people onto Reason+.
The prerequisite for that being possible is if Reason+ generates more than permanent Reason licenses. Until that condition is met, there's not the slightest chance of them dropping permanent Reason licenses. That would basically be the end of Reason Studios, and we can be 100% sure that they know this.
It's that simple.
Ditto for RRP. It's an irrational fear.
Lots of companies have had no difficulty maintaining permanent and subscription licenses.
There is no legitimate reason why Reason Studios must be presumed to be the exception.
I've been using software for a good 15-20 years that has had subscriptions and permanent licenses available under similar terms (either you get all updates for the version of the software you purchased or you get all updates that come within X months of your purchase).

Nearly the same here ... absolutely not exited. Even Hi-Res is only half baked ... so I don't like that too.gullum wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021not excited but will upgrade the way I use Reason does not include lots of synths or CV stuff so combinator for me so far has only been a space holder for amps and FX for my guitars and bass patches not programmed for anything. I'm not worried about perpetual licensing disappearing, avasopht wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021They've been clear. Permanent Reason licenses aren't going away. They've been clear on this.Billy+ wrote: ↑26 Aug 2021I have purchased way more than that over the years.

I'm more interested in nicks comments about price increases to encourage us to go subscription, currently V12 is worth €$£0.00 to me. I'm definitely not buying it at an inflated price.
Like many other have said I'm waiting till next year to see what happens when it happens and how it works.
