Hi Everyone!
Was just curious to how you're using Reason's Rack these days, through the standalone daw or are you using it in another daw with the Rack Plug-In?
I'll start it off, I'm using the RRP in Reaper.
Thanks!

I use it in Live so I guess I had to pick Ableton?
I may on occasion use Reason Standalone too depending on the task and then I export the audio tracks.

I use it both in Reason standalone DAW as well as in Ableton Live 10 Suite. You can't select both in the vote unfortunately.......
But mostly in Reason DAW!

I picked Live, but I still use Reason standalone fairly regularly--should be able to pick more than one option.
The Reason Rack plugin? Oh I have opened it up once - in Logic - to see how it was working

Hahaha! That wasn't necessary! I was joking. Almost every non-Live user says Ableton anyway.Creativemind wrote: ↑24 Aug 2021Yes, Live haha! I've updated it.BonsaiMacKay wrote: ↑24 Aug 2021I use it in Live so I guess I had to pick Ableton?

Standalone and I guess I'll be single from the rest of my music life, unless the daw part just stops working in the future and I need a girlfriend to continue using reason

I use it in live for music work, but due to NDA stuff I cannot tell you why but I've been using it in standalone a lot more lately.
And it doesn't have to be used in a DAW either, such as Mainstage and Camelot. Which by the way, there is a free version of Camelot available: https://audiomodeling.com/camelot/try-buy/
I'd like to use the RRP in QLab, but unfortunately it still doesn't work
It looks like this:
Having the RRP work in QLab would be huge since I use QLab for every show I design for theatre and every escape room.

I use Reason’s rack exclusively… in Reason. Feels oxymoronic to have to type it out like that. I feel disappointed in hearing so many people here (especially the obsessive-posting users) use Reason in other DAW’s. So many people here have probably spent hundreds or even thousands on rack extension devices (way more money invested in the Reason ecosystem than someone like me) but are then like “I use Reason in Bigwig.”
Before VST’s or the Reason Rack Plugin, every other DAW functioned primarily through VST’s. Reason was the only (mainstream) DAW that was different. If someone else used Reason, you knew you had something in common with them.
Now? It’s like that special “club” feeling is gone. It was bad enough when 9 out of 10 people you used to meet in person who created music digitally didn’t use Reason, but now it seems like a majority of the most vocal posters (including mods) on a Reason forum aren’t even truly using Reason. And yo, as a major contributor of the Reason hardware mixer scene, Reason is not just “sequencer and rack”, it’s equal parts sequencer, mixer and rack for those who use Reason fully. With the Reason Rack Plugin, you lose 66% (2/3) of Reason.
I appreciate that the original poster typed “How Are You Using Reasons Rack?” instead of “How Are You Using Reason?”.

Hi Phillip sounds interesting. Without breaking any NDA is the reason you have been using standalone more included in reason 12 or a seperate rack extensionPhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑24 Aug 2021I use it in live for music work, but due to NDA stuff I cannot tell you why but I've been using it in standalone a lot more lately.

Included!
I am guessing combi
Standalone, Live, Cubase.
RRP is great but only the standalone rack can create that certain type of creative chaos for me.

Sounds good. I keep flip flopping from considering buying 12 to thinking I dont need it and that it might not bring anything new. Not long till it is launched and I know virtually nothing about the combi so looking forward to finding out more then. Thanks for the response
I use it primarily as a synth module in Ableton.Creativemind wrote: ↑24 Aug 2021Hi Everyone!

Wow I'm surprised Reaper is getting so much love in the Reason community. It is excellent as a DAW. As a midi sequencer, it seems a bit too deep for me though.
