Record MIDI from multiple controllers?

So, I just made the switch from acoustic to electronic drums and already looking to expand my kit into Neal Peart territory…
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure I'll need to run more than one drum module to achieve this.
Does anyone know if there's a way to record MIDI from two controllers simultaneously, or does it always have to be the Master controller that records?
I have both Reason and Pro Tools at my disposal if that may make a difference?

Any ideas?

If not Reason, might there be another DAW *shudder* that could handle this?

Nevermind. Figured it out- Locking a controller to one device makes it possible to record MIDI on both devices simultaneously.
