I've downloaded Reason Intro 11.3.9 onto my new Mac Mini M1(running Big Sur), but there is no signal coming from my sound card - an EVO4. I was able to record with Audacity, so I know my sound card works w/ my new Mac Mini. My hardware all runs thru a mixer, into the sound card, and then to my computer. I've been using Reason for almost 2 years, and am fairly comfortable with it, so I don't think I'm forgetting anything. Reasonstudios.com and other posts I've seen here say my version of Reason and the M1 should be compatible. But still I'm not getting a signal from my sound card.
Any ideas? Thanks so much in advance~!

Rosetta is required for Reason to work on M1 Macs as far as I know. At first launch of Reason on your M1 chip computer you will be asked to install Rosetta (if not already installed). Did that happen? Also, it's only supported with online authorization:missioncreep wrote: ↑07 Jul 2021I've downloaded Reason Intro 11.3.9 onto my new Mac Mini M1(running Big Sur)

Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 12 | i7 3770k @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro | Akai MPC Live 2 & Akai Force | Roland System 8, MX1, TB3 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD
Cant say about intro, but I'm now run last R11 and R12 bet on M1 mbp, no any problems (exclude bigger latency with my TB interface).
Try to manually install authorizer from RS site.

For your M1 Mac, are you using Rosetta? Wonder if that support link is out of date...

If app is Universal (M1/Rosetta) you not need install Rosetta
If app is Intel (look app info in properties) - at first run Mac ask you to install Rosetta. Without this you can't run Reason (it currently intel app)
ps: I not have computer authorisation (CodeMeter software, that officially not supported) and use Authoriser from last R11 and R12 beta.

Right so - you need Rosetta to run Reason on an M1 Mac, correct?turn2on wrote: ↑08 Jul 2021If app is Universal (M1/Rosetta) you not need install Rosetta

I've spent so much time on this - any more ideas?
Could it be missing permissions for Reason to access sound input?

PS - it's interesting that Audacity, a freeware that isn't bad at all, doesn't require that box to be checked ..

Indeed, it's interesting - goes to show you how insecure using Audacity is.missioncreep wrote: ↑08 Jul 2021PS - it's interesting that Audacity, a freeware that isn't bad at all, doesn't require that box to be checked ..
