If you are using Chrome browser, you might need to right click and "copy link address" then paste that address into a new tab.

Thanks for replying! this is shocking. i feel like i felt something has been wrong. I assume this is only noticeable with the delay compensation on?
what about your buffer latency? It seems a bit high, no? I normally do 256 and get very little latency.

You might want to add direct links to Elements free downloads, currently available ones are 0.4.11 unless you want to build your own or purchase the latestchallism wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021Some of these links can be difficult to find, so I decided to put them all together in one list

It appears that if there is an update you have to download the whole package instead of a recent update from the site.

Sorry to pile on here, but did RS ever acknowledge this? Now I'm curious. While it's not vocals, I've tracked a Montage 7 in Reason 11.3.9 and had zero problems. I actually find it requires the least amount of manual offset of the DAW's I've tested (Studio68c --> external input). Reaper was all over with ReaInsert. Who even tracks external hardware @ 2048? Seems absurd / moot, lol.
Point being, everyone's hardware has *some* latency regardless of driver reported latency that automatic compensation leverages. You're job is to find out how much based on your system specs. All I had to do was track a 4ms manual offset (64/128 samples) with "External" monitoring in preferences (which if I recall is required to effect manual comp correctly). It's tighter than a gnat's ass. You have to leverage at least a bar lead time to let the clock on the Montage sync up, but that's inherent to the clock of the unit (few synths can dead pull a sync'd clock).
I always figured anyone serious about their hardware tracking always dialed in manual settings for best results because when you zoom in you'll always see they're off a small amount with auto-compensation (enough for my standards in all DAW cases). Loopback test provided a good starting point for my offset.
