One thing that sets Reason apart is its use and integration of Patterns on Devices and Players together with automating such patterns on the Sequencer.
So my question is, how often does any one actually use it?
Is it clunky and prehistoric? Or is it a major feature and tool that is often overlooked and not spoken about?
How often do you Automate Patterns

Automating Matrix patterns was how I got started with Reason. While I don't use the Matrix as much these days, I do sequence ABL3 patterns very often and Pattern Mutator has also become a new favorite on other instruments. I also use many of the UJAM plugins and sequence their built-in patterns.

All the time. I use Matrix a lot. My sequencer is full of those A1, A2, A3... strips. It's very visual and allows for fast editing
I actually bought a e-drum kit to avoid sequencing drum
