Mute tool

Erm when trying to mute say the high hats amongst the other drums in the sequencertrack , the mute tool only mutes one note at a time I've got it to mute the entire or part of the lane before but I seem to have forgotten how. Help appreciated .

You can select notes that are the same from the context menu.

I personally like to explode my drums on different midi tracks so I can use the track mute.

In the sequencer, just select a note and right click and use "Select notes of same pitch" (or move/duplicate).

Or "Explode" to send all the notes on different lanes on their own lane. It's in the Tool window (F8) -> Extract Notes to Lane

Dude just select the mute tool and drag out a rectangle or box around the notes you want to mute, kind of like a lasoo tool.

Thats what it won't do ,ive tried to use it like the arrow tool but all it does is select a single note instead of a bank of notes.well at least I know what the mute tool is surposed to do.god help me.

My bad I don't really use this tool, and as of Reason 10 you still can not mute individual notes only clips - I am not sure about Reason 11 though!

Using the cursor tool you can lasoo notes, then just hit the delete key.

Deletes a bad idea i need to switch from muted to unumuted and back on specific instruments in the drum kit thanks for trying. I'm of to take up religous orders as my computer has changed sex.

That's a pretty big feature I'd estimate we might see it in 30 - 35 years.

Select the notes and press M on your keyboard.

Got to mute multiple notes by using select with the arrow tool and mute and unmute respectively in the drop down menu.couldnt get explode to work but the rest of the tools under F8 are great!

My bad, apparently Explode is used to: "move or duplicate notes of the same note numbers to new clips on separate note lanes."
Maybe I was thinking Extract to lanes, or something.
